Welcome to Foster Goat Ranch.  We started into the Boer goat business as a family project.  We have discussed raising Boers for awhile but just never made the commitment. We went to the Iowa State Fair Boer Goat show and were hooked. Both of us have raised (and still do) horses all of our lives. We have also raised beef cattle, sheep and hogs. At the Fair our boys really enjoyed the goats and decided they wanted to go into the goat business. We felt this would be a good family project to start.  We were only going to have a couple of does and a buck.  We had as many as 20 head of does and several, several kids.  Tanner and Tucker would like to give the showring a try so we are downsizing our commercial does and getting more percentage and fullbloods.  We are centrally located in Iowa.  Set back, relax and take a tour of what we have to offer.  We are always open to comments, suggestions or if you see something you like it may be for sale.
